Saptashva Solar S.L. is a Spain based Company promoted by XL Telecom & Energy Ltd an India based Listed entity with revenues over Rs.7 Billion, as a subsidiary, to focus on Alternative Energy Power Generation. Saptashva has embarked on tapping Solar Power as initial focus of Power Generation.

As part of go-start market strategy, Saptashva has acquired existing license to install 30 MW Solar Power Project along with lease hold rights for land in Spain, a country with focus on solar PV power and one with the most liberal incentives for promotion of solar power.

Saptashva, while establishing the initial plant of 30 MW for Solar Power Generation, has also identified further opportunities for acquisition of companies who have existing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) signed with the Spain Utility company along with Land Lease hold rights up to 20 MW aggregating the total capacity to 50 MW Solar Farm capacity, as potential installation for Saptashva in the first year of operation. Saptashva is working closely with the local Government to get additional 50 MW licenses in its own name for establishing the Power Projects in 2009.

Saptashva is also working to establish similar Solar Power Generating farms in other European Union countries mostly Italy, where it has signed letter of intent to acquire 200 MW worth Solar Power Projects and is working to establish the same in 2009 and 2010. The vision of Saptashava is to be recognized as one of the leading solar power producers with a focus on grid connected power. Its immediate objective is to establish about 300 MW Solar Power Farms in Spain and Italy by 2010 and medium term objective is to create 1,000 MW Solar Power Generating farms globally.
